Twitter has released a new feature to a certain amount of verified users (including Accede IT) that allows polls to be created within the mobile app and on desktop (However we haven’t seen any of these polls on the desktop version).
This feature comes in the form of a two choice poll ( we hope they extend this to more ), allowing a new way to generate interaction between yourself and your followers. The poll is generated inside the tweet and lasts for around 24 hours.
If you have the ability to create a poll, you will see the little pie chart in the bottom when you are drafting a tweet. Click this and you will be asked to ‘write a question’. There will then be two options for the answers that will be generated along with your question. This then prompts your twitter followers to interact with your post, and provides feedback to you inside your Twitter platform.
This can be a great way to generate interest and feedback on any of your features and offers an easy way to get information back from your audience.
So far, reaction has been mostly positive, and the polls have proved to be good for brand engagement and follower interaction with many people participating with a high level of retweets.
